Career background before joining the BSED team?
I graduated from Montana State University – Billings and started my career in finance and real estate here in town. After gaining some great experience in the local business world, I decided to pursue my MBA from the University of Montana—go Griz! My work with local businesses naturally led me to economic development, and I found myself involved in various community groups and boards, which ultimately ignited my passion for this field.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I love making sourdough bread from scratch—it’s a fun challenge and so rewarding.

What’s your favorite snack?
Anything savory! I’m a big fan of a good charcuterie board with all the fixings.

What was your first job?
I started out as a hostess at a local restaurant. My parents were friends with the owner, and what began as a simple family breakfast quickly turned into an impromptu work orientation! It was a great introduction to responsibility and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

How do you prefer to start your day?
I like to start my mornings slowly. A peaceful walk with my dog, followed by coffee and breakfast with my husband, sets the tone for a great day.

What led you to this career field?
Billings is home for me. I’ve always felt a strong connection to this community, and working in economic development allows me to play a role in its growth and future. It’s incredibly fulfilling to contribute to making this a better place for everyone.
