Big Sky Economic Development (BSED) is excited to announce a new live street cam designed to help locals and visitors alike stay connected to the heart of downtown Billings.
The camera captures a live view from the corner of 2nd Avenue North and Broadway, right outside BSED’s office at 201 North Broadway and directly under Skypoint. The Street Cam can be accessed on BSED’s website under the Resources tab as “Webcam.”
“The Street Cam has been a vision of the Community Development Team since we moved into the restored and renovated building at 201 North Broadway over two years ago. We wanted to create a way for people to feel connected to their community. We wanted to create a sense of place where you can check on local events, look at the weather, and get a feel for what downtown Billings is all about,” said Dianne Lehm, Director of Community Development.
From shopping and dining to year-round events, there’s always something happening in downtown Billings. Viewers can tune in to the BSED Street Cam to catch a glimpse of parades, the costumes and excitement of the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot, the Christmas Stroll, ArtWalks, Farmers Markets, the Strawberry Festival, and much more. The live feed offers a real-time view from Skypoint, making it a perfect way to experience holiday festivities and special events.
The Street Cam helps people feel connected to their community, and that connection is central to creating a vibrant and healthy economy. When people engage with downtown, even virtually, they’re experiencing the places and moments that fuel Billings’ economic and cultural vitality.
