MEDA is excited to announce that our Spring 2023 Conference will take place in Billings, MT May 22nd – 24th. This conference is hosted by our Eastern Montana Region Economic Developers (Billings and east).
Our conference theme is: What connects us today? What connects us tomorrow?
Montana is a large state, a place where there are more cows than people, a place filled with a diverse range of industry and a growing interest causing an increase in residents statewide. Many see a divide between the east side of the state and the west, and though there is a difference in landscape and booming industries, we are Montana.
So, what connects us today? Tomorrow? Join us for the Spring MEDA Conference to learn the factors of economic development that connect us today, and what will connect us tomorrow, as the State of Montana.
This conference will take place on Monday, May 22nd – Wednesday, May 24th. At the last conference, you told us you want MORE opportunities to network and connect with your peers, we listened and have incorporated more time and ways for you to make the most of your time. Billings is excited to host you on behalf of Eastern Montana.
Monday, we will kick off the conference with a professional development session: Economic Development 101, a MEDA Board meeting at Montana’s first medical school, Rocky Vista University-Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine. We will then transition to an opening reception at Meadowlark Brewing.
Tuesday, we will officially kick-off our Spring Conference and our Annual MEDA Membership Meeting at The Northern Hotel in downtown Billings. Tuesday and Wednesday we will be diving right into what connects us today and what’s next for our future as a State such as legislative, community development, placemaking, business recruitment, business retention, housing, workforce development, healthcare, energy, and entrepreneurship, a Rock31 Consumer Products Accelerator Pitch, and a social hosted by the Montana Ambassadors!
Come ready to learn, connect with your economic developer peers, and leave inspired for what connects us tomorrow!
