What town do you now call home?

I now call Billings home! My husband and I relocated to Billings in January 2023 with our cat, Earl, and black lab, Sprig. We are so excited to explore Montana, set down roots, and build our family here!

Where did you grow up?

I am originally from Grand Junction, Colorado, located on the western slope about an hour away from the Utah border.

Career background before joining the BSED team?

I had previously served as the Executive Assistant to the President at Colorado Mesa University. Before my work in higher education, I worked in the tech industry where I hosted virtual events in the US, Canada, and UK. However, I would say the foundation of my career began in economic development. I served as the Community Relations Manager at the Grand Junction Economic Partnership, GJEP.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

My all-time favorite movies are the Anne of Green Gables series and, as a family tradition, we watch all 8 hours once a year.

What’s your favorite snack?

Pretzels!

What was your first job?

I worked in shipping and distribution for a custom agenda design and printing company called Action Publishing. (If your school gave out free planners growing up, it likely came from Action Publishing)

How do you prefer to start your day?

I love waking up early and enjoying a nice slow morning. This looks different every day but usually includes a matcha latte, some playtime with our pets, and packing/prepping for the day ahead.

What led you to this career field?

Economic Development is fun! It covers such a wide range of activities and initiatives that every day can look different. I love helping others find and build community and enjoy playing a role in improving the quality of life for those around me. I also particularly enjoy organization and project management. Altogether, these elements led me to this role at BSED!
