Montana Bioscience Alliance Careers in Healthcare Student Summit

Friday, October 27 at MSU-Billings

(Billings, MT) –The Montana Bioscience Alliance, in collaboration with healthcare institutions and universities, will host “Careers in Healthcare,” on Friday, October 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the MSU-Billings Student Union Building.

Over 120 high school students from the Billings area will attend this interactive event, which promises to be an enlightening day that will shape their future in the field of healthcare.

“Careers in Healthcare” offers students the unique opportunity to connect with seasoned healthcare professionals, recruiters, and university admissions counselors. These experts will guide them through the myriad of career pathways, on-the-job training, certification options, and degree programs available right here in the Billings area. Moreover, students will receive invaluable insights into resume-building and the intricacies of application processes and requirements.

This event is a collaborative and comprehensive one-stop-shop, uniting organizations and universities under one roof to ignite students’ interest and empower them with the tools they need for success in the healthcare sector.

Organizations involved in planning the event with MT Bioscience Alliance include Big Sky Economic Development, Billings Adult and Community Education, Billings Career Center, Billings Chamber of Commerce, Billings Clinic, City College, Cushing Terrell, Eastern Montana AHEC, Lockwood School, Moore Lane Veterinary Hospital, MSU-Billings, MT DLI/MT Registered Apprenticeship Program, Native American Development Corp, Par Pacific, Rocky Mountain College, Rimrock Foundation, RiverStone Health, Rocky Vista University Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine, St. Johns United, St. Vincent Healthcare, and West High School.

The day kicks off with a panel discussion, featuring distinguished representatives from prominent healthcare organizations. Following this, students will have the chance to interact with professionals from various healthcare disciplines, gaining insight into their educational journeys and job roles. University representatives will also share invaluable tips on successfully navigating the application process for degree programs.
