We asked Katie to answer a few questions to help us get to know her better.
What inspired you to start your own business and what was your biggest challenge?
I have been in love with food and sharing my love for cooking with others since I was very young. It has been a dream of mine for a very long time to run my own food establishment. My biggest challenge has been running the whole operation by myself while also trying to advertise, grow the business, and juggle the early-on finances and investments while making a profit.
What are some of the most important skills you’ve developed as a business owner?
I have more confidence in myself and I’m much better at multi-tasking.
What is your best advice for someone starting a new business?
Do your research! Find out what you are getting into and what other similar business owners struggled with. Be prepared and knowledgeable in your industry.
What is most important to you about your business?
That every single customer leaves happy, satisfied, and feeling appreciated.
Is there anything else you would like to mention about your business?
I love using locally roasted coffee and supporting other local small businesses! Please be sure to ask what handmade pasta we have for you to take home.
