ABOUT NATIONAL VETERANS SMALL BUSINESS WEEK

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) celebrates, connects with, and empowers aspiring and current service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouse entrepreneurs during National Veterans Small Business Week.

During the week, October 31-November 4, SBA and its extensive partner network celebrate the strength and resilience of the #VetBiz community by hosting events across the country and sharing information about the resources available to veteran entrepreneurs.

Week of Events:

Wyoming Boots to Business Reboot | National Veterans Small Business Week virtual training

Are you a Wyoming veteran, National Guard & Reserve Member, or military spouse interested in small business ownership? To celebrate National Veterans Small Business Week, this “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” course is the foundational piece of Boots to Business (B2B). Participants are introduced to the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to launch a business, including steps for developing business concepts, how to develop a business plan, and information on SBA resources available to help. This course includes three sessions, starting on Tuesday, November 1st (see agenda below)

Nov. 1st 4:30-6:30:
1. Intro to Business Ownership
2. Basics of Opportunity Recognition
3. Understanding Markets & Your Competitive Space

Nov. 8th 4:30-6:30:
4. The Economics of Small Business Startup
5. Legal Considerations

Nov. 15th 4:30-6:30:
6. Financing Your Venture
7. Introduction to Business Planning and
8. Resources to Support Your Efforts in Wyoming

This virtual program is facilitated by subject matter experts from the SBA’s Wyoming District Office, the Big Sky Veterans Business Outreach Center and their extensive network of skilled business advisors. After completion of the course, participants can elect to further their study through the B2B Revenue Readiness online course, delivered through a partnership with Mississippi State University (MSU). Participants are also encouraged to take advantage of the many resources and services offered by the SBA and its partner network.


Utah UNITE Conference – National Veteran Small Business Week

This one-day in-person program is facilitated by subject matter experts from the SBA and their extensive network of skilled business advisors.


Montana Startup Roadmap | National Veterans Small Business Week

Designed for individuals who would like to start their own business. This is a great overview of things to know about start-up costs, financing options, and business planning. A wealth of information and resources are provided free of charge.
